After Earth (2013)

A new poster has just hit the internet for After Earth, M. Night Shyamalan's sci-fi, post-apocalyptic movie starring Jaden Smith and his father Will Smith. The one-sheet, to the left, teases what might be Shyamalan's most epic work yet. After Earth — which will probably include a major twist at the end knowing Shyamalan's work — takes place in the future, after a crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden) and his father Cypher (Will) stranded on Earth 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humans to escape the planet. With his father critically injured, Kitai must embark on a journey to get help in uncharted, dangerous territory with evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an alien creature that escaped during the crash.
After the trailer came out a few weeks ago, this poster certainly increases our excitement for the father/son flick. The stunning visuals of Earth in the image are only hiding nefarious, dangerous elements, and that juxtaposition of beauty vs. the unknown is compelling — why did humanity leave the planet?

Jerry Seinfeld Explains How He Writes Jokes

Jerry Seinfeld talks about comedy writing and how he writes a joke in this video from the New York Times. The Times also has a feature on Seinfeld. In the video, Seinfeld explains how he came up with a joke called "The Pop Tart Joke." Seinfeld says he always writes on yellow pads. He doesn't use the computer because he says he doesn't like that cursor flashing and asking, "So, What have you got?" Seinfeld compares the joke writing process to songwriting, where you are looking for just the right word with the right amount of syllables. He says if you have a long joke, the end is the hardest part because that is where the biggest laugh has to be. Take a look:

My Daily Horoscope

The study of movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs and the natural world. Ancient observers of the heavens developed elaborate systems of explanation based on the movements of the sun, moon, and planets through the constellations of the zodiac, for predicting events and for casting horoscopes.
For example, I was born with zodiac Cancer. Today is December 16, 2012. According to this information my daily horoscope has been described below.
Yesterday
You have to make the first move, whether you want to ask someone out or talk with your parents about a big deal. Once you get the ball rolling, it's easy to keep up with it, so don't be shy!
Today
Get started on something new today -- you have plenty of drive, and it's a great time to take a trip somewhere new, even if it's online or in your mind. Things are going to change for the better.
Tomorrow
You're a bit more stressed out than usual, but you can alleviate it pretty quickly by getting out of the house for a walk or pretty much anything else, as long as it can clear out your head.
What's about you ?

Photoshop Tutorial: Extracting Images from Backgrounds

Step One:
Open your image up in Photoshop in JPEG format. It is extremely suggested that you start off with a subject on a white or light colored background. This will make it a lot easier to extract the image and then blend it into a new background, despite quality.
Step Two:
Go to Filter, then Extract. When the window opens up, click the marker tool in the upper right hand corner. Now tick the "smart highlighting" box. Depending on the size of the edges you want to extract, choose an appropriately sized brush.
Step Three:
Move the mark completely around the edges of you want extracted. Once you go completely around the image, click the paint can tool and fill inside the green lines. This will make the image a blue color (don't worry, your image is NOT this color). This will also make sure you get the entire image extracted and not just the outlines in green.
Step Four:
Click OK, and now the extracted image will be on your canvas without the original background with it.
Step Five:
If the image does not have nice smooth edges, try the process again or use the eraser tool to fix the edges that aren't even or jagged. The eraser tool allows to remove unwanted bits and pieces. Otherwise, you can move on to the next step.
Step Six:
Now choose your background. You can choose basically anything you want. You can also use your own background images or find one on a free stock photo website. Now you can paste the extracted image on the background. Click Control+C to copy, and Control+V to paste.
Step Seven:
You can blend easily by blurring the edges of the extracted background, or simple by adding a filter. You can also move around the extracted images with the pointer. You will need to flatten the image to apply a filter for both at the same time.

Video Online Marketing

Online businesses are more prevalent, from selling clothes, shoes, baby items, food to sell services, and online videos .. With online video you can boost the sales. Here you can promote products that will be sold through the video. With online video or YouTube, your advertisements or products to be marketed can be played over and over and it does not require much money to promote your business. When internet users use search engines to look for a site, then a site equipped with video will be on the first page, even the video came first followed by the site address in the search engines.
Here are tips to market products via online video:
1. Video Quality
In the making of the video, notice the quality of the video and adjust to the product and target market. If the technology is upper or middle, you must adjust the equipment and technical preparation.

Tools of the Trade – are they Necessary?

One artist began decorating boxes with original art to mail to family and friends. The recipients were so delighted that a light bulb went off in his head. He began designing boxes with creative designs to sell on the Internet. He currently has a successful business simply by starting where he was, and making do with what he had.
 J. K. Rowling wrote “Harry Potter” on napkins at work before she became published; at which time, she had the money to buy the proper supplies. Many artists use recycled objects and materials to recreate beautiful one-of-a-kind keepsakes that turn into sales.
Beginners and upstart entrepreneurs often improvise and get by until they are established. We can’t always buy the things we want or think we need before taking the plunge into fulfilling our dreams. Have you heard the expression “grasping at straws?” Those “straws” just might provide the vehicle you need for “lift off.”

Disney Dreams Come True

When I was visiting Japan some years ago, I didn’t forget to visit Tokyo Disneyland too. Should you want to get another dream in visiting Disneyland Paris, you can read the following information I have quoted below.

Some trips I take for fashion, some for love. Somewhere in the sky aboard the Flying Carpet ride as monsoon rain struck last Saturday night at Disneyland Paris, only love - or maybe the thoughtful family-pack of emergency white rain ponchos (obviously left behind in our hotel room in favour of a cherished Balenciaga wool overcoat which will definitely never be the same again) - could save the day.
With seven sugar-high kids in tow (all I needed was a Snow White costume and I could have provided bonus photo ops for unsuspecting tourists), I somewhat begrudgingly replied to my best friends' teasing messages as they swanned around Le Meurice in Paris between art and cocktails. But one glance at the rosy-cheeked beaming smiles all around me and I knew this was the trip we'd remember forever.

A very different candyfloss and rollercoaster-fuelled Paris, but it's not every day you get to dine with Mickey and the gang as fireworks explode around the biggest Christmas tree the kids will ever see. As my little girl, who "hates" princesses, but wants to "marry" Pluto announced philosophically: "Mummy, these are the best days of our lives in the whole world ever," and that was before we hit the gift shop...

The Benefits of Multi-Author Blogs

A few days ago my senior blogger tutor Brian Gardner sent me again an email about important tutorial on blogging that I have quoted below.

When most people decide to start a blog, they write all of the content themselves – it’s their site, and they invest all the time and effort into making it work. While single-author content sites can become very successful, there are many benefits to the multi-author approach. A prefect example of this is our blog over at Copyblogger. What started out as a single-author blog created by Brian Clark years ago, is now a thriving multi-author content marketing blog. Here are 5 of those benefits that you may want to consider as you plan and execute on your future as a digital publisher …
1. Free Thyself
As a single content producer, it can be difficult to keep your site fresh with frequent, high-quality posts and content. If you have multiple writers, you can populate your site with more good content, instead of having to write everything yourself. Of course, the quality of content counts infinitely more than the quantity of content, especially if you want your blog to continue to be an authority in your particular community online. Make sure all of your authors are able to produce well-written, quality articles, and that standards don’t fall by the wayside just because you’re struggling to manage multiple authors.
Takeaway: A multi-author blog can produce content more frequently, freeing you up to work on other important tasks such as editorial focus, social distribution, product development, and building crucial relationships in your niche.
2. Gather Intelligence With multiple authors, you’re likely to have many differences of opinion and varied viewpoints within your “writer’s room”. This can be an invaluable asset to a content site, as it allows the reader to experience the topic in different ways depending on which author they’re reading. Allowing different viewpoints can also help a reader expand their knowledge of the topic, which can lend itself to interesting editorial discussions and further blog post ideas.
Takeaway: While keeping very clear editorial standards among all authors, allowing them to showcase their own unique viewpoint on your subject matter makes for a far more interesting and comprehensive site overall.
3. Attract Traffic
If you’re the only author of your site, you are solely responsible for marketing and promoting it. As anyone who’s attempted to create a successful content site knows, these things take time and effort, especially when you also need to focus on posting frequent, quality content. When working with multiple authors, the work can be shared among the group instead of it always falling to just one person. It’s also likely that your authors will want to publicize their work for your blog, so they’re going to help with distribution by linking to their posts on their social networking pages. This will — of course — help draw more traffic to your blog, as you’re not the only one doing all the marketing and promotion.
Takeaway: Don’t be afraid to encourage your authors to market the blog; it’s a win-win-win. You get more distribution, your authors get their names out there, and your audience gets a great read.
4. Engage the Network We all know how important networking is when it comes to making your site a success. With multi-author blogging, you are opening yourself up to even further networking opportunities by interacting with other bloggers who share the same interests and goals as you do. Take the time to get to know your multiple authors, including their skills, interests and work experience. Read their sites and engage with their audience. Help your guest writers achieve their goals. You never know when you’ll receive a valuable referral because one of your authors knew you were experienced in a topic and passed a potential job opportunity your way.
Takeaway: Take advantage of the networking opportunities multi-author blogging presents, and don’t hesitate to refer jobs to your other bloggers as well when they are a good fit. As they say, what goes around, comes around.
5. Share and Share Alike With a multi-author blog, the workload can be shared among all of the writers, leaving you with a easier workload and more time to focus on other projects. Instead of being responsible for everything — from posting content, to monitoring comments to marketing your blog — you can share those responsibilities between all involved in the success of your site.
Takeaway: A multi-author site instantly creates a division of labor that becomes one of the greatest benefits of the five. Take the time to think about the strengths of your other writers, and how those strengths can be used to create a successful blog that benefits everyone.
The Conclusion
There are many benefits to having a multi-author blog, but the 5 mentioned here are some of the more compelling reasons you should consider going down that path. Not only will your workload be divided among multiple bloggers, but you’ll open yourself up to amazing networking opportunities, more and better content, increased traffic, and multiple viewpoints for a dynamic, interesting site that people will want to read and talk about.

Anthurium Plants

Photobucket

Foliage Anthuriums are mostly found at specialty greenhouses or through online nurseries. To grow them, it's best to replicate conditions found in tropical zones. Keep them in very high humidity and warmth, and provide a climbing support if necessary.
Anthurium plants require bright, indirect light. Do not expose to direct sunlight, except in the winter. Keep compost moist at all times, but not drenched. The flowering varieties suffer if the temperatures drop below 60º Fahrenheit. The foliage types prefer it even warmer.
The are two groups of anthurium grown in greenhouses: flowering varieties and those with magnificent foliage. The only ones you're likely to see in the garden center are the flowering varieties with their multicolored spathes and red or yellow tail-like flower spikes. But if you are intrepid, you might come across a few of the large-leaved, deeply veined foliage types.
Be warned: neither type of anthurium is particularly well-suited for most houses. Native to tropical rainforests throughout Central and South America, many anthuriums are climbers and all need very high humidity and warmth to thrive.

iPad mini

You can now get the smallest possible iPad that could still deliver the full iPad experience. iPad mini is 23 percent thinner, 53 percent lighter, and fits in one hand — yet it can do everything an iPad can do.
Since iPad is all about the display, that’s where people want it to be small, but not too small. It had to be big enough to do all the things you love to do on iPad. And it had to work with all the apps made for iPad. The perfect size: 7.9 inches. Because at that size, it feels like an iPad in every way — only it’s mini.
But iPad mini isn’t just a scaled-down iPad. Its design is made to be a concentration, rather than a reduction, of the original. A refined unibody consolidates more parts into one. A single-cell battery — the thinnest ever made by Apple — takes up less space, but lasts just as long. The iSight camera is smaller, yet still takes 5 megapixel photos and shoots full 1080p HD video. And while the display is slimmer and lighter, it’s also incredibly vibrant.

How to Attract Many Readers on Our Blogs

Lots of tricks and tips to attract as many readers on our blogs.
Below I quote some of the ways mentioned above.

Those who are in blogging for years know that readers often get tired of one and the same content type. Even if you write brilliant articles, this doesn’t provide all-time success and recognition. Audience loves experiment, first of all experiments in article format. How many post types can you actually enumerate? Product reviews, tips, how-to’s, lists… is that all you know? Then this article is definitely for you! Have a look at proven article types which really work to engage blog audience and diversify content.
Best-of and top lists
It doesn’t matter how trivial this type may seem, the truth is that it works flawlessly. Ranked lists always seem to generate links, traffic and debate. One question: why did you click on this article title? Maybe, because of “Top 7″ in the heading? The main reason of such posts popularity is that people are constantly searching for the ‘best’ of everything. They love content ranged from good to best, as well as they love a variety of items to choose from. All these “Top-10″, “Best-100″ or “A to Z” roundups contribute to better post structuring and let readers compare items within one list. You can make a list of whatever concerning your blog niche: helpful resources, tools, videos, tips, workarounds, or tricky ways to do something.
Interviews
Interviews with well-known experts also are a good source of links, comments, and traffic. The nice thing about this method is that the only your work involved is writing questions and approaching experts. The interviews can add definitely add credibility to your resource since people appreciate such arrangements. It’s easier if you start with interviewing bloggers who are interested in link exchange and ego bait. The success rates for getting interviews are pretty high as most bloggers love talking about themselves! Still it’s advisable to ask questions within a particular topic, e.g. if a blogger writes about DVD software, ask him about the current state of DVD burning and his forecast. Nobody canceled a catching title for an interview. If your respondent is not so outspoken, you may easily omit his name in the title, just put [INTERVIEW] at the end.
Infographics
I put this type on the third place, but actually it should be on the first and here are the reasons why. First, infographic can deploy complex information in visually attractive datasets and thus make your blog post more eye-catching. Plus, infographic usually receives a wide coverage on the Internet: be sure to get dozens of backlinks and good mention in social media. Now about the minus: it cost money! Of course, you can borrow it from such popular infographic stocks as Visual.ly, DailyInfographic and some others, but this won’t be your infographic and you’ll have to provide credits. No doubt, infographic development requires much time and effort and the outcome is often unpredictable. Still it’s worth trying!
Slideshows
Slideshow is a popular article type which has long been used by Mashable and PC World. This format ideally suits to display series of meaningful information or deploy “Top-10″ lists, especially if there are multiple items on the list. Description for the items can be minimal, since here image is more important. You can make a slideshow in PowerPoint or use Freemake Video Converter to convert photos into video. YouTube or Slideshare are good resources to host your presentations with the ability to get embed code for your blog.
Showdowns
Readers love battles! They appreciate comparisons made for them, even if they don’t agree with the results. Just start typing in Google “Windows vs…” and you’ll get numerous suggestions and search results showing down Windows and other OS’s . Don’t be afraid the make comparison tables, diagrams, list pros and cons and write your personal opinion at the end. The word “Showdown” isn’t very catching in titles, so it’s better to use “vs.” or “battle” and not to compare more than 3 items, because the post will turn in an ordinary list.
Q & A
If your blog is strictly niche-oriented and you receive tons of emails and post comments, assign a post to frequently-asked questions. In such posts you have a chance to speak on multiple topics of little significance. Q&A posts also give a perfect opportunity to build internal linking: just mention previous posts related to the question and make anchor text with targeted keywords. Don’t forget to put questions in bold so that readers could scroll down and start reading with the questions they are most interested in. Be open to your public – publish questions that people ask about your hobbies, interests, jobs you did.
How-to’s
How-to queries rule in Google search, so this post type is very beneficial from SEO point of view. You may pick up any topic, from handcraft to PC issues, just make sure the tutorial syncs with your blog content. Divide your how-to into steps and provide images or screenshots for each step. More than one solution to do the task is also helpful, especially if the task isn’t so complicated.

Happy Blogging !

LESS IS MORE

A few weeks ago, while my senior blogger friend Brian Gardner went surfing on the internet because he was heavily bored on a Friday night, quietly I followed him and wanted to know what he has gotten. I was then surprised because I found him catching a wave that took him for a unexpected ride. What’s that ? Please follow his next interesting story below.
I ended up on Squarespace , and practically fell out of my chair when I saw how incredibly awesome their site design was. For grins I signed up for a trial account just to see what it was all about, and while I was there I fell deeper in love when I saw their UI design.
Recently at StudioPress we’ve been refining our approach to theme design. You may have noticed a subtle trend which includes a fresh design and focus on typography and spacing. As screen resolutions get bigger and the capability of showcasing the web is increasing, we want to extend this approach to our users. So we’re updating our selection of themes, as well as the upcoming design of Genesis 1.9.
Breathability and Spaciousness
One of the things that I like most about the Squarespace design is just how open it feels. Maybe I’m weird, but I’ve developed a claustrophobia of sorts when it comes to viewing websites. Too many sites feel crammed and are extremely hard to read with small font. In my opinion, having 20px of padding around content areas used to be enough, but lately I’ve decided that 40px should be the new minimum. And that’s at a minimum, because in some cases I think that it should be more. Who here thinks that this is a depiction of a good readability experience? Certainly not me. Perhaps a little spacing, larger font and a lot of whitespace would do the trick? So I took matters into my own hands and gave myself a fresh coat of paint. Or lacktherof.
Welcome to My New Digs, Yo!
Kick off your shoes and show yourself around. Things are in the same place, just a little less dust. Much is the same, in other words, is really what I’m trying to say. In fact, I simply recycled the previous theme I was using by customizing just the CSS and renamed it “Surfacing”. For those of you who know me, that name should make sense. One thing that is new for me is a custom homepage, so be sure to check that out.
What are your thoughts about the new look? Or about minimalist design in general? Give me a shout down in the comments, and let’s talk about it!

Travel to Rome

Many people often say that there are many ways to Rome. It means that they represent Rome as a goal, and there many ways to achieve the goal. The next question is why do many people assume Rome as a goal ? Is Rome an extraordinary unique city on the world ? The answer might be found in the information below.
Monumental Roman Antiquities
Colosseum, Pantheon, the baths of Caracalla, the Circus of Maxentius, Tomb of Cecilia Metella, the surviving portions of the aqueduct, baths of Diocletian, Nero's Golden House, villas on the Palatine Hill in Rome ... you can take a "bath" of culture and ancient history.
Museums
National Museum of Rome, with a huge collection of Roman sculptures and other ancient archaeological items (like the Capitoline Museum and the Museum of Villa Giulia, then art museums: Borghese Gallery, the Gallery of Ancient Art of Barberini Palace, National Museum of Modern Art, Museums Vatican, which are actually packed with collections - art, antiques, ethnography.
• abundance of artistic masterpieces: the so-called "Stanze" (rooms) decorated by Raphael, Sistine Chapel walls and ceiling covered with magnificent paintings painted by Michelangelo, Paintings
• historic charm and exotic two Gregorian Museum (collections of Egyptian antiquities each other - the antique Etruscan) and Ethnological Missionary Museum.
• scenic attractions - such as the Swiss Guard, composed of soldiers dressed in the fashion insiprate Renaissance and armed with halberds, and ATM in the instructions are, in part, in Latin (which is the official language of Vatican State)
Churches
There are over 900, many old, some very old and among all, some have more charm and special atmosphere in itself worth a visit. Among the most popular, visited by pilgrims from around the world, are the Basilica di San Pietro (St. Peter Cathedral, perhaps the most famous religious edifice of Christianity), Basilica di San Paolo Paul Outside the Walls ("Saint Paul Outside the Walls" - named because it was outside the high walls around Rome in the time of the emperors Aurelian and Probus, in the third century.), Santa Maria Maggiore, San Giovanni, Santa Croce in Gerusalemme.
Vatican
A country in a city, the Vatican produces, throughout it, a pile overwhelming impression given by: • monumental architecture: Castel Sant'Angelo, St. Peter's Basilica, the Palace of Justice, The Vatican
Summer musical events
• Estate Festival Romanian (Romanian Summer), from June to September, many events such as concerts and divesificate rock, jazz, classical music, theater and film.
• Representatives of the Thermae of Caracalla work in a spectacular antique decor.

The atmosphere and views
Narrow streets that end in the middle squares marked by fantatna baroque, old houses, with all sorts of beautiful architectural detail, roof gardens, courtyards decorated with sculptures, tasty Italian food odors, cafes and cozy-looking little restaurant ... If you leave the center and areas "to visit" traditional and busy, you have the chance to discover the "other" Rome, located beyond the retouched photos of the most representative tourist attractions.
Fountains Without the famous, much-praised and overwhelmed-by-tourists Fontana di Trevi, such creations are enough to merit seen in Rome, their charm and impress reveals most of all when, after you've lost through a maze of streets barely wider than a path, out suddenly "light", a round square, surrounded by old buildings in the middle of which rises, surprising and wonderful, a composition of stone, full of sculptures which shine , washed by water: fountain! Piazza Farnese, in Piazza di Spagna, in Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, in Piazza Barberini and many other "piazza" such wells are found on the steps which you can stand a few moments to pull your soul eventually eat ice cream - before you continue driving.

The Soft Launching

About nine months ago, my daughter Meilina Utomo planned to begin doing her career as a fashion designer . Then she made action plans for the project, such as schedulling for Preparation, Preliminary Design, Buying Material, Production , Design Illustration, Website Preparation for Marketing (including its Logo) , Website Soft Launching, etc.
Due to some problems and errors, the works directly with the fashion design drawings through fabric painting technique,  have been done several days before the planned launching day.

Finally on her birthday she succeeded in launching the Fashion Website
And now you can find  some her original fashion designs on Singing Thumbelina
Hope you like and enjoy them !

The Quick and Easy Way to Embed a Tweet in a Blog Post

The following is the tips I have quoted from my senior blogging tutor Brian Gardner
Many folks have asked me if it’s possible to embed a tweet in a blog post. Twitter makes that extremely easy to do so all you need to do is follow these instructions. Login to your Twitter account, and go to your “tweets” page. If you’re logged in, all you need to do is go to your Twitter page like mine at http://twitter.com/bgardner.
Look for the tweet you want to embed and then click on the “expand” link and then you’ll see some more information about the tweet. You’ll notice a “details” link after the date, so go ahead and click that. After you click the “details” link, your tweet will open into it’s own page
There you will see the tweet, who retweeted and favorited it as well as a “embed this tweet” link. Click the “embed this tweet” link, and a screen will pop up which gives you options for embedding your tweet.

Journalist On Duty

by DS Utomo

Vision is a most beautiful Dream
Vision is a Moon behind the leaves
With white light climbing  on the grey sky
While the leaves moving by shaking of a pick of wind
The Moon still remains with her image in the mirror of the water

Behind the leaves there is a Moon
Her smiling is so far
But this heart is too close to her eyes

Mission is a Responsibility
Mission is a sacrificial Journey
Made by a Father
Or a Mother
Or a Lover

How to Build a Successful Blog

While you may know everything there is to know about driving traffic to your blog, what do you do if none of your readers are actively participating? All the page views mean nothing if your blog remains inactive from a community perspective. Luckily, there are several steps you can take to begin engaging your blog readers and not only get more comments from them, but build a dedicated community of like-minded people who enjoy reading what you have to say.
1. Content Really Is King
We hear this constantly – “content is king.” There’s a reason this oft-used saying still persists today, folks – because it’s true! If you want to engage your readers, the first thing you need to do is make sure you’re populating your blog with content that’s not only well-written, but on topic and relevant to your readers as well. By striving to write high-quality posts, you are taking the first critical step towards engaging your readers and making them want to comment on what you have to say.
2. Ask your Readers to Respond
In order to get what we want, oftentimes we just need to ask. If you want your readers to respond to your posts, ask them! You don’t have to come right out and say “Please respond to everything I write,” however. Instead, make it easy for readers to comment on what you’ve written by including a discussion question at the end. For example, let’s say you’ve just written a post about the “5 Best Digital Cameras Under $150.” At the end of your post, you can ask your readers to respond with their thoughts on your list, and whether they’d add one you didn’t cover. Sometimes, it’s really that simple to engage readers and get them to begin a discussion!
3. Respond to All Comments
When you do receive a comment, take the time to respond to them in a timely manner. The only way to continue to actively engage your readers and ensure they’ll become repeat commenters is to respond to each and every comment they make. Ignoring your readers is a serious faux pas, and that’s certainly a quick way to keep them from coming back. While you can reply with a simple “thank you,” it’s nice to add a personal touch to every reply. This lets the reader know that not only do you appreciate them taking the time to comment, but that you read their thoughts and responded in kind. You can also ask follow-up questions of your readers who comment, thereby driving even more engagement and reader discussion.

Stress Management

It may seem that there’s nothing you can do about stress. The bills won’t stop coming and your career and family responsibilities will always be demanding. But managing stress is all about taking charge: of your thoughts, emotions, schedule, and the way you deal with problem.
Stress management starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life. This isn’t as easy as it sounds. Your true sources of stress aren’t always obvious, and it’s all too easy to overlook your own stress-inducing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sure, you may know that you’re constantly worried about work deadlines. But maybe it’s your procrastination, rather than the actual job demands, that leads to deadline stress.
To identify your true sources of stress, look closely at your habits, attitude, and excuses:
 Do you explain away stress as temporary even though you can’t remember the last time you took a breather?
 Do you define stress as an integral part of your work or home life or as a part of your personality .
 Do you blame your stress on other people or outside events, or view it as entirely normal and unexceptional?
Until you accept responsibility for the role you play in creating or maintaining it, your stress level will remain outside your control.

What Is Interplanetary Reporting ?

For the new bloggers who want to learn about this interesting topic, I recommend you follow this site that I have quoted below.
At Google we like to create solutions for the future. And we imagine a future where web use won’t be restricted simply to Earth. Rather, people will want to visit their favorite sites while cruising around the rings of Saturn with friends or relaxing at the (inevitable) Mercury tanning facility. When the galaxy is our playground, marketers, analysts and webmasters will want to understand location use beyond Earth. For example, if you had a chain of taco stands and noticed many users visiting your website from the Mars outpost, well, that might help you make a business case to begin expanding your business to serve Mars colonists. That’s why today we’re announcing a sneak preview of our new Interplanetary Reports. While currently you only get a partial picture of website visitor location, we want to expand beyond Earth to help you understand visitor activities from neighboring stars and planets. You’ll also be able to drill down on each planet to see greater detail. For example, which colony or outpost your visitors came from similar to the city drill down available for Earth today. In order to help you improve slow interplanetary site speed we’re also adding an average page load time to this report to help you understand latency issues caused by distances between planets. When you slice and dice the data from these new reports, you might discover some interesting things. For example, we noticed a direct correlation between gravity and site bounce rate. Visitors coming from the moon bounced 6 times higher than those from earth. We figured you might have questions. So, following is a quick FAQ for current Google Analytics users:
When will the new reports be released?
The new reports are scheduled to be released to all users starting in the year 2030, when we anticipate local space travel becomes widespread.
How far across space will the new reports track?
We’ll start by tracking location from as far away as the Andromeda Galaxy, however as light speed travel becomes more widespread we’ll be integrating new (patent-pending) technologies to track visitors from greater locations.
Does Google Analytics plan to also segment traffic by species?
Non-human traffic is something we’ve been thinking about. As we work together with our space-faring friends, we’ll be introducing a new section within demographics to take into account any new species discovered. We hope you’re as excited as we are to explore the galaxy and also keep connected to the web. After all, updating your space logs (slogs) should be a social activity that users from across the galaxy can comment on, share, and of course measure.

Herbal Medicine For Leukemia

Leukemia , in GreekLEUKOS ("white") AIMA ("blood"), or more commonly known as blood cancer is a disease in cancer classification (neoplasm) in the blood or bone marrow characterized by the abnormal or malignant transformation of blood-forming cells in bone marrow and lymphoid tissues, generally occurs in leukocytes (white blood cells). Normal cells in the bone marrow was replaced by normal or abnormal cells. These abnormal cells out of the marrow and can be found in the peripheral blood . Hematopoiesis or leukemia cells affect the formation of normal blood cells and immune patients. The word leukemia means white blood, because the people found a lot of whiteblood cells before therapy was given. White blood cells are cells that look much younger, for example promielosit. This raised the amount that can disrupt the normal function of other cells
Instead of medical treatment, Leukemia can also be teated by the use of supplements and herbs as I have quoted below from multi sources.
A person suffering from the various symptoms of leukemia will gain great benefit from the use of these supplements, and the various herbal remedies and other supplements given here will help support the overall health of the person and this will also boost the energy levels in a person suffering from leukemia. The diet of a person suffering from leukemia must contain wholesome foods and must be very rich in various essential nutrients as these all nutrients are extremely important for the person to fight off the various symptoms of the condition. Problems with the blood such as anemia is usually evident during leukemia in patients, therefore all supplements such as the entire B complex vitamins and a mineral like iron must be used as compulsory supplements to help build up the blood in the affected individual. These nutrients and minerals also serve as a vital source of energy at all times and help fight off physical fatigue which may be very persistent in all patients. A serious folic acid deficiency can also result due to the various prescription medications used as a treatment for leukemia, supplements of the vitamin folic acid are necessary for all patients suffering from leukemia because of this reason. The organic form of the mineral iron is the best supplemental form of the mineral, as it is the easiest form to absorb and its presence in the body will not lead to the production of many unwanted side-effects associated with the use of various iron pills. Infections occurring within the body can be countered through supplements of the vitamin C , the vitamin also helps in the strengthening of the blood vessels and protects the person from various toxins present in the body and which are often an underlying cause or the real reason behind an incidence of leukemia in a person. The action and effectiveness of the vitamin C within the body is supported by co-supplements of the plant based natural substances called the bioflavonoids - these compounds must always be used in conjunction with the vitamin C to improve the performance of the vitamin within the body. The blood vessels can be strengthened by these supplements, which also prevent bleeding when used together in a single combined dose. The side effects of medications used during cases of leukemia can also be countered by the use of vitamin E ; this vitamin can effectively reduce the intensity of all side effects arising as a result of prescription medication utilization over a long period of time. Cancer and its symptoms can also be moderated by supplements of both the vitamins C and E-these chemicals act in the prevention of all symptoms associated with cancer.

Are You Making These 8 Common Marketing Mistakes?

Today, there are more options than ever when it comes to marketing your business. While the increase in options makes it easier for your company to be noticed, it also increases the chances that you’ll make a mistake along the way. Here are eight common marketing mistakes, and what you can do to avoid them
1. Ignoring Timing
Before you roll out a big marketing campaign, take a look at the timing of your initiatives. You want them to coincide with company events, such as a new product launch or your appearance at trade shows or other events. If you ignore the timing of your marketing campaigns, you’ll end up missing important opportunities – and that’s a huge mistake. Obviously, you don’t want to focus entirely on company events when you’re rolling out new marketing initiatives, but when you DO have something new in the pipeline, it’s important not to neglect that opportunity for big exposure.
2. Failing to Know the Return on your Marketing Investment
Too many companies spends thousands of dollars on marketing tactics without stopping to figure out what they’re getting for their hard earned cash. If you spend money wildly, with no clear picture of the end result, you’re making a big mistake. Before you shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars of your marketing budget, make sure you have a clear understanding on what you’ll be getting in return. Track your various marketing expenditures and decide which ones are actually bringing you a return on your investment and which ones you need to cut.
3. Creating a Website that Reads like an Advertisement
If you want people to turn to your business for their needs, and not your competitor, then it’s important to design your website with your customers in mind. If your site simply reads like an advertisement and doesn’t include any relevant information that will be of interest to your customer base, those customers will leave and go elsewhere. Your website is a huge marketing tool for your company, so be sure to include things your potential and current customers will find useful. You want them to be able to turn to your site for helpful information and resources; you don’t want to turn them off by throwing sales pitches at them the moment they click on your homepage.
4. Ignoring Current Customers
While it’s important to gain new customers in order to help your business grow, if you fail to market to your current customer base you are making a detrimental mistake. Not only does it take much longer (and cost more money) to sell to a new customer, the vast majority of your business comes from current customers. If you ignore their needs, you are going to see a decrease in profits. Bottom line? Make sure to balance your marketing techniques between retaining your current customer base and attracting new customers.
5. Going from Year to Year without Clear Goals
Any successful business must have a clear strategic plan and goals they want to achieve, as well as the proper techniques in place to achieve those goals. Too many businesses continue to go year to year without any clear idea of how they want their company to progress or what they’re doing. Before you can market your business, come up with an annual plan that addresses who you are as a company and what you do. Make sure to include pertinent goals and ways to achieve those goals. Once you have a clear plan in front of you, it will be that much easier to avoid making further mistakes and continue building a client base.
6. Failing to Create Marketing Materials that Appeal to your Target Market
When creating marketing materials, too many companies make the mistake of creating these materials in away that appeals to them as the business owner. This is a HUGE mistake, and one you need to remedy if you plan on being a success. When designing your marketing and sales materials, it’s important to consider your target market. What would appeal to them? How can you design these materials in a way that resonates with your target demographic? Every time you create new sales materials, make sure to figure out how you can design them to focus on who these products or services are specifically made for.
7. Trying to Do Too Much
It’s tempting to rush into every new marketing technique that pops up, but this is not only a waste of money and time – it also kills your effectiveness. Instead of trying to focus on every single marketing tactic around, choose a select few techniques to focus on. If you attempt to tackle too much, you will be spreading yourself entirely too thin. Yes, you will miss certain opportunities this way – but if you stick with a select amount of marketing activities, you will be able to commit to them much more effectively than if you try to do everything at once.
8. Lacking in the Customer Service Department
Believe it or not, customer service is an extremely important marketing technique – and poor customer service means you’re making a mistake that can be hard to come back from. Word of mouth from satisfied customers is a free and easy way to market your business, but if you fail in the customer service department, you can’t expect any glowing testimonials. In order to avoid this mistake, make sure your customers can reach you easily. Offer several different contact methods, such as an e-mail address, postal address and telephone number. Respond in a timely manner to customer inquiries, questions and complaints. By ensuring you treat your customers well, you will definitely be able to count on satisfied customers to recommend your business.

Making the Pizza Dough

1 In the large bowl of a heavy duty electric mixer (such as a Kitchen Aid), add the warm water. Sprinkle on the yeast and let sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is dissolved. Stir to dissolve completely if needed at the end of 5 minutes
2 Attach a mixing paddle to the mixer. Mix in the olive oil, flour, salt and sugar on low speed for about a minute. Remove the mixing paddle and replace with a dough hook. Knead using the mixer and dough hook, on low to medium speed, until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. If you don't have a mixer, you can mix and knead by hand. If the dough seems a little too wet, sprinkle on a bit more flour.
3 Place ball of dough in a bowl that has been coated lightly with olive oil. Turn the dough around in the bowl so that it gets coated with the oil. Cover with plastic wrap. Let sit in a warm place (75-85°F) until it doubles in size, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours (or several hours longer, a longer rise will improve the flavor). If you don't have a warm spot in the house you can heat the oven to 150 degrees, and then turn off the oven. Let the oven cool till it is just a little warm, then place the bowl of dough in this warmed oven to rise. At this point, if you want to make ahead, you can freeze the dough in an airtight container for up to two weeks
Preparing the Pizzas
1 Place a pizza stone on a rack in the lower third of your oven. Preheat the oven to 450°F for at least 30 minutes, preferably an hour.
2 Remove the plastic cover from the dough and punch the dough down so it deflates a bit. Divide the dough in half. Form two round balls of dough. Place each in its own bowl, cover with plastic and let sit for 10 minutes.
3 Prepare your desired toppings. Note that you are not going to want to load up each pizza with a lot of toppings as the crust will end up not crisp that way. About a third a cup each of tomato sauce and cheese would be sufficient for one pizza. One to two mushrooms thinly sliced will cover a pizza.
4 Working one ball of dough at a time, take one ball of dough and flatten it with your hands on a slightly floured work surface. Starting at the center and working outwards, use your fingertips to press the dough to 1/2-inch thick. Turn and stretch the dough until it will not stretch further. Let the dough relax 5 minutes and then continue to stretch it until it reaches the desired diameter - 10 to 12 inches. Use your palm to flatten the edge of the dough where it is thicker. You can pinch the very edges if you want to form a lip
5 Brush the top of the dough with olive oil (to prevent it from getting soggy from the toppings). Use your finger tips to press down and make dents along the surface of the dough to prevent bubbling. Let rest another 5 minutes. Repeat with the second ball of dough.
6 Lightly sprinkle your pizza peel (or flat baking sheet) with corn meal. Transfer one prepared flattened dough to the pizza peel. If the dough has lost its shape in the transfer, lightly shape it to the desired dimensions.
7 Spoon on the tomato sauce, sprinkle with cheese, and place your desired toppings on the pizza.
8 Sprinkle some cornmeal on the baking stone in the oven (watch your hands, the oven is hot!). Gently shake the peel to see if the dough will easily slide, if not, gently lift up the edges of the pizza and add a bit more cornmeal. Slide the pizza off of the peel and on to the baking stone in the oven. Bake pizza one at a time until the crust is browned and the cheese is golden, about 10-15 minutes. If you want, toward the end of the cooking time you can sprinkle on a little more cheese.
 Yield: Makes 2 10-12-inch pizzas.
